bridal makeup FAQ

How do I reserve my wedding date?

Inquire through the bridal inquiry form, once I receive that I will send my bridal contract and save the date invoice.

What is a save the date fee and why do you have that?

Because I receive a high volume of bridal inquiries each season, a non-refundable $100 Save-the-Date is required to officially secure your wedding date on my calendar. This payment ensures your date is held exclusively for you and begins the onboarding process — including all initial correspondence, scheduling, and timeline preparation. It also serves as a mutual commitment, confirming that you’re serious about reserving your date and that I’m dedicating that day entirely to you. The Save-the-Date is solely for reserving your date and covering the administrative time that begins once you book; it is not applied toward your final balance.

How far in advance should I book my wedding day makeup?

It’s best to book as early as possible, especially if your wedding falls during peak season (spring and summer). I recommend booking at least 6–12 months in advance to secure your date. However, if I am available, I will absolutely accommodate and book last-minute wedding parties, micro weddings, and elopements. I do not have a minimum requirement for bridal party sizes.

What’s included in the bridal makeup service?

The bridal makeup service includes:

  • Customized application tailored to your vision

  • Strip lashes

  • Lip color to keep for touch-ups

  • A complete touch-up kit for the day

This ensures your look stays flawless from your first photos to your last dance.

You'll also receive a guide on how to prep your skin for your wedding day ahead of time, as well as a day of prep guide.

I also create the timeline for the morning to ensure we stay on time and on track and so you can relax and enjoy!

Should I have a bridal preview?

While a bridal preview is optional, I highly recommend it. A trial allows us to perfect your wedding day look in advance, explore different styles, and ensure everything aligns with your vision. It’s also a great opportunity to finalize the details of your makeup plan. Travel fees apply to bridal previews until studio space is available.

Do you travel to my location?

Yes! As a traveling artist, I bring the salon experience to you. I travel to your home, venue, or preferred location so you can relax and enjoy your day. Travel fees apply:

  • $150 per artist within 1 hour

  • Beyond 1 hour: $150 per artist + $2/mile one way

  • If the round trip exceeds 3.5 hours, overnight accommodations must be provided by the client the night before

How do I (and my wedding party) prepare for my bridal trial or wedding day makeup?

  • Arrive with CLEANSED, CLEANED & BARE skin

  • No moisturizer, no SPF — if anything, apply only a sheet mask before your appointment

  • I will handle a full skin prep to ensure your makeup lasts and photographs flawlessly

  • Bring inspiration photos if you’d like to help us align on your vision

How long does each makeup application take?

  • Bride: 60–90 minutes depends on the look

  • Bridal Party: 45-60 minutes each

This careful scheduling ensures a smooth, stress-free morning.

What happens if a wedding party member is running late?

I’ll do my best to accommodate, but to keep the schedule on track, I may need to move on and circle back if time allows. Timeliness is essential to maintain a calm and enjoyable atmosphere. Per my contract this also means that if someone misses their time slot entirely the service is non refundable. Because you booked and paid for this service beforehand and I set out a certain amount of time for these services it's considered a no show.

Why is it difficult to take last-minute clients on the wedding day?

Wedding day timelines are carefully planned. Adding last-minute clients disrupts the flow and can create unnecessary stress. Booking all services ahead ensures a seamless, relaxed experience for you and your bridal party. Of course if there is time I will absolutely do my best to accommodate them.

What’s the difference between neutral makeup and natural makeup?

  • Neutral makeup refers to earthy tones like browns, taupes, beiges, or soft pinks. It can be subtle or bold but stays within a muted palette.

  • Natural makeup focuses on enhancing your features in a way that looks close to bare skin — sheer coverage, soft finishes, and a “no-makeup” vibe.

What’s the difference between soft glam and full glam?

  • Soft glam is polished but natural — blended eyeshadow, subtle contouring, radiant finish.

  • Full glam is bold and dramatic — smokey eyes, sharper contouring, bold lips, fuller coverage.

Do I have to wear foundation, and why?

I usually do require foundation for bridal makeup, as it ensures longevity and flawless photos. I can however customize the makeup application by using a combination of products and technique's to create a flawless 'no foundation' look.

here's why I typically suggest foundation even if just a skin tint...

  • Foundation smooths skin tone and reduces redness/blemishes

  • It photographs beautifully under all lighting

  • It creates a long-wear base so makeup lasts through tears, hugs, and dancing

What happens if my bridal party is large?

For parties of 8 or more, I may bring a second artist to ensure we stay on schedule. A $150 fee applies per additional artist.

Do you offer stay-through touch-up services?

Yes! For brides who want me on-site after the ceremony, I offer stay-through/touch-up services at $100 per hour (2-hour minimum, booked in advance). This is ideal for look changes, photo touch-ups, or evening reception glam.

Is there an additional fee for holidays or early start times?

Yes:

  • $300 holiday surcharge applies for New Year’s Eve/Day, Memorial Day weekend, Independence Day, Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving Day/weekend, and Christmas Eve/Day.

  • $150 early start fee applies to weddings beginning before 8:00 AM.

What makeup brands do you use?

I use a curated kit of professional, high-quality brands designed for long wear and flawless photography. My kit is fully inclusive for all skin tones and types.

How long will my makeup last?

With the right prep and products, your makeup will last through tears, heat, and dancing. I use proven techniques for durability, and your touch-up kit keeps you fresh all day and night.

What’s your cancellation policy?

All deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances. Deposits secure your date and cover the time, planning, and loss of potential business from turning away other clients.

If you need to reschedule, your deposit may be applied to a new date only if I am available within the same calendar year. If I am unavailable, the deposit is forfeited.

By booking, you agree to these terms.
